Zero Hunger & Nutritional Security Program

The Zero Hunger & Nutritional Security Program of the Southern Charity Foundation (SCF) is a crucial response to the escalating food insecurity faced by underprivileged communities due to global conflicts, economic instability, and natural disasters. These factors have significantly increased food prices, making essential nutrition increasingly inaccessible. Natural disasters, such as floods and supply chain disruptions, have only exacerbated these challenges, pushing basic food items beyond the reach of many.

In light of these urgent needs, SCF has initiated its Nutritional Support Initiative, aimed specifically at aiding vulnerable individuals struggling to meet their dietary requirements. During the holy month of Ramadan, SCF further enhances its support through the Ramadan Community Food Empowerment Program, which provides essential food items to underprivileged families. This initiative is particularly important as it recognizes the heightened dietary needs of those fasting during this reflective month, ensuring that they can observe Ramadan with dignity and peace of mind.

By meeting immediate dietary needs, SCF not only combats hunger but also strengthens community ties and enhances overall well-being. This strategic intervention exemplifies SCF’s dedication to uplifting underprivileged communities and promoting a culture of generosity and empathy.

To date, SCF has supported approximately 469,690 individuals, ensuring that no one goes hungry during these critical times. This program underscores SCF’s commitment to creating a hunger-free society and addressing the root causes of food insecurity within affected populations.
