Seasonal Assistance & Non-Food Item Support
In Bangladesh, where approximately 8% of the population lives below the poverty line, access to basic necessities remains a significant challenge. To address this issue, the Southern Charity Foundation (SCF) annually provides essential Non-Food Items (NFIs) to the most vulnerable communities. During the winter months, SCF prioritizes distributing blankets and warm clothing to those in urgent need, particularly in urban areas and the northern regions of Bangladesh, where temperatures can drop significantly.
Additionally, the festive occasion of Eid ul-Adha presents both joy and challenges for many, especially for Rohingya refugees and underprivileged communities. To spread joy during this important celebration, SCF organizes a special Qurbani Community Sharing Initiative, providing meat and other essentials to those who may find it difficult to partake in the festivities.
Through these seasonal initiatives, SCF aims to positively impact the lives of over 105,605 individuals, ensuring that vulnerable members of society receive the necessary support during critical times. These efforts reflect SCF’s commitment to alleviating hardships and fostering a sense of community among those facing adversity.
