Comprehensive Emergency Response for Rohingya Communities
The Rohingya refugees, recognized as one of the most vulnerable displaced populations globally, have faced tremendous hardships after being forced to flee persecution in Myanmar. Many have lost their homes, families, wealth, and sense of security. Currently residing in Bangladesh as Forcibly Displaced Myanmar Nationals (FDMNs), they continue to confront significant challenges in their daily lives.
In response to this humanitarian crisis, the Southern Charity Foundation (SCF) initiated its support for the Rohingya community in 2017. Since that time, SCF has actively provided essential aid, including food, medicine, nutritional items, emergency shelter, and household essentials to Rohingya families.
To date, SCF has reached and supported over 79,870 Rohingya FDMNs through its humanitarian interventions. The organization focuses on addressing the immediate needs of these displaced individuals while also working towards improving their overall well-being and resilience.
SCF’s ongoing commitment to the Rohingya community highlights its broader mission to assist the most vulnerable populations. The foundation aims to ensure these individuals receive critical assistance to survive and rebuild their lives amid ongoing crises. Through continued collaboration with local and international partners, SCF seeks to expand its reach and impact within the refugee camps, contributing to the long-term stability and security of the Rohingya FDMN population.
SCF’s efforts reflect a comprehensive approach to humanitarian response, emphasizing not only immediate relief but also sustainable solutions for the Rohingya community’s ongoing challenges.
