Qurbani Community Sharing Initiative
Eid ul-Adha is a moment of joy and celebration for Muslims globally; however, for Rohingya refugees and underprivileged communities in Bangladesh, this festive occasion often remains out of reach. To bring joy and enhance the sense of community during this time, the Southern Charity Foundation (SCF) organizes a special Qurbani Program.
With the generous support of compassionate donors, SCF facilitates the sacrifice of cows and goats, ensuring that these vulnerable communities receive a share of fresh meat—a vital resource that may only be available to them once a year. To date, this initiative has benefitted 95,250 individuals, with each recipient receiving at least 2 kilograms of meat.
This program not only fosters a sense of community and celebration among the participants but also addresses critical food security needs for those who are most in need. By prioritizing both the spiritual and physical nourishment of marginalized groups, SCF plays a pivotal role in promoting welfare and dignity during one of the most important Islamic holidays.
